1-minute devotion for Thursday, 10/9/25
Jesus said, “But when he, the Spirit of truth, comes, he will guide you into all the truth. He will not speak on his own; he will speak only what he hears, and he will tell you what is yet to come. He will glorify me because it is from me that he will receive what he will make known to you. All that belongs to the Father is mine. That is why I said the Spirit will receive from me what he will make known to you.β John 16:13-15 (emphasis mine) Read full chapter
My thoughts: God has given us His Word so that we might know truth. Jesus said the Holy Spirit will guide us into all the truth. Obviously, not everyone has been guided into all truth. Why is that? It’s because we have to love the truth above anyone’s opinion, including our own. We have to be seeking truth and only truth no matter where it leads us. That is different from looking for verses to support our own opinions or the opinions we want to be true.
In His Love, Cindy

Amen. Just cherry-picking verses that work for us and overlooking those that don’t is an easy thing to do.

Love this post. Loved being a part of what you do here Cindy, many blessings to you and all here.
Recently due to a severe set back in health I asked my daughter to change things on my blog, because I am losing the use of my hands and only time and God will know if and when I get them back. So sorry for the sudden change and for making this announcement here, but I wanted to let you, and any one who was following my website know the reason for the sudden change. I am sorry for the sudden change but most likely I will not be back on the web for some time. Even this typing is super hard on my hands and arms.
We will see each other when He comes to bring us home. Grace and peace to you Cindy and to the others here.

Eileen, I’m so sorry to hear of your health problems. I will pray for you. Have you thought about using speech to text software? That way you could continue to communicate without typing. May God lead you and guide you.
You are right: We WILL see each other when He comes to bring us home! Amen! Come Lord Jesus! ππ
