Verses for meditation for 9/11/25
September 11, 2001 shattered the stability and comfort of American’s lives, leading to a surge in church attendance and Bible sales immediately after the attacks. (Barna)
On that day, many held tightly to our motto: IN GOD WE TRUST
“In that day they will say, “Surely this is our God; we trusted in him, and he saved us. This is the Lord, we trusted in him; let us rejoice and be glad in his salvation.” Isaiah 25:9
“I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:2 Read full chapter
Jesus said, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33
In this war-torn world, it is crucial that we put out trust in God through faith in His Son Jesus Christ, the Savior of the world. May this day remind us that everything can change in an instant. Don’t wait to put your trust in Jesus! Do it now!
In His Love, Cindy

As remembered that day I remember our country came together to in prayer and to do what we can to help with supplies for the firefighters and I am sorry to say that today we are divided as a nation and so much hatred

There was a surge in church attendance in America after the September 11th attacks. But according to Kirk Cameron, Ray Comfort, and other church research it was short lived and months later many Americans stopped going to church again. Which reminds me of Jesus and his parable about seeds and soil. On another note I will always remember that terrible and scary time in our country the 9/11 attacks, the anthrax letters, and the beginning of the never ending war on terror

Yes, the seed that fell on rocky ground! Or maybe it was seed that fell among thorns. I don’t know. God knows. Thanks for commenting. Blessings, Joseph!

True. There seems to be a repeating of history in the wake of Charlie’s death – atheists opening Bibles for the first time, people going back to church after years of absence. Will this be short-lived, too? Maybe the answer to that depends on whether the Church is going to step up and seize this opportunity or let it pass by.
