1-minute read Verses for Meditation, 4/3/25
“The Lord had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you. “I will make you into a great nation,
and I will bless you;
I will make your name great,
and you will be a blessing.
I will bless those who bless you,
and whoever curses you I will curse;” Genesis 12: 1-3 NIV
Commentary: The unparalleled blessing of God on the United States is due in part to her longstanding commitment to Israel. History is litered with nations – ancient and modern – that have suffered, declined, or disappeared altogether after failing to bless the Jews (including the Canaanites, Philistines, Amalekites, Edomites, Assyria, Babylon, Greece under Alexander the Great, the Roman Empire, Spain following the Spanish Inquisition, many modern Arab nations, the former Soviet Union, and Nazi Germany. Any true Christian should and will support Israel and Jews, Gods chosen people. Those who are now actively supporting the destruction of Gods chosen people will surely be cursed by God.
