Pastor Louie Giglio says, “Simply by our proximity to Jesus, we can bring hope and life to people and places trapped in discouragement and despair.”
What greater motivation could there be for devoting time each day to God alone? My prayer is that because I seek Him, others will see Him and take hold of that hope that anchors my soul.

Hopelessness had my number for far too long. I’m learning to keep my eyes fixed on Jesus, who gives me hope even when it appears that there is no logical reason for it. Thanks for sharing your story (and Sarah’s)!

We used to sing that song at the church I attended in my twenties. I still think of it when I ‘m feeling hopeless. The rock of hope – Jesus.
This is a beautiful post. I particularly loved Sarah Rodriguez Rhodes’ quote. Hope is not just hopeful. It is Jesus himself. I love that she refused to deny him in that moment. I’m off to read her testimony! Thanks Cindy.

Although I realised later as I was singing it that it’s Jesus’ blood and righteousness, not his love and righteousness although if we think about it they are one and the same. 🙂 Lots of love, bless you today. Sing sing sing!
