“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV

Amen. I’m needing some of God’s comfort right now. I only got about 4 hours of sleep last night. This morning I have to drive, by myself, approximately 109 miles on a busy interstate to have a diagnostic test done on my heart… and then drive back. I really don’t like driving on the interstate, which is why I couldn’t sleep.

Linda, I’m so sorry you have to make this ride. I wish I could drive you there myself. I am praying that God will take away your anxiety. He is with you every minute of every day. Sending love and prayers…

Thank you so very much. I am home, and wow — this cardiologist said I don’t have hypertrophic cardiomyopathy anymore! Either the cardiologist who diagnosed me with that years ago was wrong, or my heart has healed!!! All I need at this point is a low dose of blood pressure medicine. God is so gracious!!!

Hebrews 4:12 comes to mind: “For the word of God is alive and active.” May His Word bring healing to your heart today. Blessings, my friend!

There’s no comfort quite like being with someone who’s “been there” and has come out on the other side.

This is so true. It’s comforting to be with someone who understands.
